Hi Aaron,
My name is John Acton and I live in Oak Harbor. I also belong to the Island County amateur radio club here on Whidbey. We have a couple of people who are wanting to get HamWan on the island. I’m sure they would like to have you helping out. If your interested in getting your license we do have a Technician class coming up the first two Saturdays in June. You can get more information about that from Ken, N7AXJ at w7avm.org. Anything I can help with please let me know.
John

Aaron,
You might want to hook up with the hams on Whidbey. They’ve been slowly working toward getting HamWAN installed and setup to cover some of their EOCs and other EMCOMM locations. I’ve cc’d John Acton who can put you in touch with the others off-list.
Cheers,
Rob

I do not have Ham license, but I am interested in the HamWAN project. I used to work for a wireless ISP and we did essentially what you are doing with unlicensed spectrum. I might be able to help on Saturday.
I will likely get my Ham cert so I can play with you guys.
