I don't know the in-depth details of the PSDR, but if you're looking at
changing that 900Mhz, you may want to look at old (4mbit, 8Mhz channel)
Motorola Canopy 900Mhz FSK/PMP100 gear off eBay, as it has a well-designed
TDMA protocol and doesn't have the frequency-conversion problems (incl
out-of-band interference) sometimes seen with wifi-chipset based Ubnt/MT
gear. The Canopy system doesn't use SSID and therefore doesn't broadcast
site name, not fully compatible with ham requirements so you could consider
it as being run in ISM category. In the Canopy system, the AP and CPE (SM)
are different models and only connect to the opposite type. If anyone is
interested I can answer questions on network design.
