It's time for some HamWAN good news. I am happy to announce that we have
activated a new site for client access - Indianola. This site has a 400'
tower located just north of Indianola, on the Kitsap Peninsula, north of
Bainbridge Island. This site has 2 sectors facing SW and SE covering
roughly 240 degrees from ENE, clockwise to WNW (sectors 2 and 3). This
should provide good coverage for the Puget Sound shoreline from Edmonds to
West Seattle and then clockwise over Bainbridge and the Kitsap Penninsula.
Links from this site go to SnoDEM (Paine Field) and Baldi. The map is not
yet updated but will be shortly. The site is live.
We hope to activate Sector 1 (facing due North) at a later date.
We would like to make a special thanks to the support of the Squamish
Tribe's Office of Emergency Management who made this installation possible,
the on-site support of Dana Hanford and Dylan Ambauen during installation,
and finally John Hayes and Elaine Bradtke for their help during the kit
preparation.
