Thank you both Carl and Tom. I'll check with Streakwave after returning this amazon round of equipment. I appreciate the quick responses.

Streakwave and Baltic Networks are both reliable vendors that carry the international (or ROW – Rest of World) version of Mikrotik equipment. You will need to provide a copy of your ham license to them to prove you are authorized to use that equipment in the US.  Forget Amazon for this, it is extremely unlikely you will ever get non-US versions.

Subject: [HamWAN PSDR] Mikrotik -US model inquiry

Hi HamWAN group,

I tried to purchase a RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT, but keep getting the RB912UAG-5HPnD-OUT-US from Amazon. My research indicates the -US model is locked out in a way that we can not undo, but others have hinted that it works for AREDN firmware.
My question is can I unlock the -US model, is it necessary for HamWAN? If not, where should I purchase this radio, or is there another radio preferred?
