[HamWAN PSDR] Question about MikroTik client node frequency coverage

It may be difficult or impossible to get the international version from an
Amazon vendor. A couple of vendors you can deal directly with are Baltic
Networks and Streakwave. They will probably ask you to email a copy of your
license as proof you are authorized to buy the non-US version in the US.
If you do choose to buy on Amazon, be extremely careful that what you get is
the non-US (also referred to as the ROW, or Rest Of World) version of
equipment.

coverage
Jeff,
You MUST get the INTERNATIONAL version of the MikroTik client node devices.
The USA versions are factory locked out of the amateur radio frequencies and
will NOT work with HamWAN.

Hi all,
Quick question: I'm looking at slides from a HamWAN demo by Scott Burrows
N7DOD given at WECCWG VIII in February. In it, Scott gives the HamWAN
frequency range as "ham radio microwave frequencies" from 5.65 to 5.925 GHz.
Scott also lists several MikroTik client node devices. According to the
MikroTik device specifications on Amazon, however, their upper frequency
limit is 5.835 GHz. Is this discrepancy important? Does my client node need
access to the entire frequency range as given by Scott? If so, can MikroTik
client nodes be easily modified to cover 5.835 to 5.925 GHz?
Thanks,
Jeff / W7EIR
